The Singlife National League 2025 has officially tipped off — and it’s already making history. With 94 teams taking part this year, the tournament has hit a record high in participation, showcasing the growing popularity and strength of netball across Singapore.
Among the 94 teams are 82 in the Women’s Open category and 12 in the Mixed category. The league also features youth talent with six teams from Netball Singapore’s U17 and U19 developmental squads, reinforcing the league’s role as a pipeline for future national athletes.
Maverixx Elite Makes Division 1 Debut
This year sees the exciting debut of Maverixx Elite in Division 1. Fresh from winning the Women’s Open title at the Daisy Tan Carnival, the team includes seasoned national players such as Charmaine Soh and Kimberly Lim. With eyes set on the Deloitte Netball Super League, Maverixx Elite will face top-tier clubs in what promises to be a thrilling season.
Norah Paul Gabriel, part of the Singapore A team and a Maverixx Elite player, shared, “It’s exciting to take on the challenge of Division 1. Each match is a chance to grow, especially for teams aiming to step up into the elite league.”

Platform for Youth & Community
The league isn’t just for elite players — it also offers valuable match exposure for rising stars. The U19 Tertiary and U19 Schools teams will compete in Division 2, while Division 3 will see four U17 regional squads (North, South, East, West) battling it out.
Meanwhile, the spirit of community continues to thrive in Division 7, where NET4MUMS — a recreational club for women aged 35 to 55+ — returns for another year. Initially started in 2016 for mothers of Singapore Netball Academy players, NET4MUMS has grown into an inclusive space for women to stay active and connected through sport.

A Growing Movement Backed by Community
Organised by Netball Singapore and supported by title sponsor Singlife, the National League is a key pillar in the country’s netball scene. It connects players of all levels — from social teams to elite athletes — and plays a critical role in talent scouting for national representation.
Daniel Ho, CEO of Netball Singapore, commented, “It’s inspiring to witness the growing enthusiasm for netball across different age groups and skill levels. This growth reflects a strong and sustainable netball ecosystem in Singapore.”
