In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday and as part of a growing national conversation on mental health, Geneco has launched its latest initiative: Lost To Be Found. This immersive campaign, created in collaboration with local artist and actor Chen Xi, uses art and storytelling to shine a light on the emotional complexities of youth mental health—and how getting “lost” can be the first step toward rediscovery.
Finding Meaning in the Mess
The campaign features six evocative black-and-white illustrations by Chen Xi, tracing an emotional journey through some of Singapore’s most iconic greenscapes—from the towering Tembusu at Botanic Gardens to the summit at Puaka Hill in Pulau Ubin. Through flowing lines and open-ended imagery, the pieces invite viewers to reflect on the detours, uncertainties, and unexpected moments of clarity that shape personal growth.
“There were times when I felt I had to keep everything together, to always know where I was heading,” shares Chen Xi. “But I’ve learned the most during the moments I felt most unsure. This series is about those moments—when we don’t have all the answers, but we’re still moving forward.”
The illustrations are brought to life through an infinite-loop video journey, encouraging viewers to see mental wellness as a process of continuous motion—one that embraces doubt, discomfort, and ultimately, transformation.
Why Mental Wellness Matters—Especially Now
The campaign couldn’t be more timely. According to the Institute of Mental Health’s 2024 survey, nearly one in three Singapore youths aged 15 to 35 report experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety or stress. Yet, only 20% seek professional support—often due to stigma or fear of being judged.
“This generation is navigating a unique landscape of pressures,” notes Alex Chan, Head of Brand, Communications and Marketing at Geneco. “Academic stress, societal expectations, the pressures of social media… Lost To Be Found is our way of saying: It’s okay to not be okay. Because getting lost is part of the journey to finding clarity.”

From Campaign to Community Support
Beyond awareness, Lost To Be Found also contributes directly to organisations supporting youth mental health. Geneco is renewing its S$10,000 donation to Beyond the Label—a national movement to reduce stigma around mental health. Another S$10,000 will go to Mindfull Community, which provides support for both youths and caregivers.
The campaign also includes grovve, Singapore’s first youth-designed wellness space at *SCAPE. The Lost To Be Found exhibition will be on display there from 1 July to 30 September 2025, offering a safe space for young people to explore the artworks, reflect, and connect.
