In a radiant celebration of diversity and empowerment, Fashion for All and the Down Syndrome Association (Singapore)’s Charity Movie Night will take place on 6 June 2025, turning the spotlight on inclusion in both fashion and film.
Fashion for All – Where Inclusion Walks the Runway
Taking place at Design Orchard at 7PM, Fashion for All is not your typical runway event. Organised by Pink Fest and presented in collaboration with the Singapore Fashion Council and Design Orchard, this inclusive showcase features individuals of all ages and abilities, including three models with Down syndrome: Annabel Zieleman, Nicole Teoh, and Tom Dhaynaut.
For Tom, the opportunity to model is deeply meaningful. “I’m excited to be on the runway! I feel confident and proud. I want everyone to know that we can do anything,” he shares. Their caregivers also echoed how participating in events like these has helped build self-confidence and a sense of empowerment.
“This is about talent, not tokenism,” says Brandon Barker, the event’s producer. Fashion for All is more than a show—it’s a movement challenging the boundaries of representation in the fashion world and promoting visibility for all.
DSA Charity Movie Night – A Community Celebration Through Film
Just around the corner at Golden Village Suntec, the DSA Charity Movie Night begins at 6:45PM on 6 June and 7:10PM on 7 June, featuring the latest blockbuster Karate Kid: Legends. This event is more than a fun night out—it’s a heartfelt call to action to support the Down Syndrome Association’s mission to raise $100,000 for their programmes.
Serving over 700 individuals annually, DSA provides holistic services ranging from early intervention and education to employment readiness and independent living training. With an annual fundraising goal of $2.5 million, every movie ticket sold contributes directly to empowering lives.
Whether it’s cheering from the front row or enjoying popcorn with purpose, this double-bill of inclusion invites the community to take part in shaping a more compassionate and equitable Singapore.
